Michael Jackson Faked His Death?

Following his apparent death on the 25th June 2009, Michael Jackson dominated the media. Pictures of an ambulance racing off to the hospital followed by his replays of classic hits, a public funeral and then finally the trial of his doctor plastered our television screens. For the first time in a while, we remembered Michael Jackson for all the glory of his life. However, could it all be staged?

It was no unknown fact that Michael Jackson was an obscene spender. He was videoed on several shopping trips blowing thousands of dollars in one store. This is highlighted by his extravagant home, ‘Neverland’ in which had a personal amusement park. A forensic accountant, John Duross, testified that Michael Jackson was spending $20-$30 millions more per year then he earned. A balance sheet also stated that he was as much as $285 million in debt.

Secretly catering for all these expenses, Michael Jackson announced a comeback tour, ‘This Is It’, which was expected to earn megabucks. MJ however, was rumoured to be very worried about the upcoming tours, with his health and fitness deteriorating. This was supposedly part of the reason he was taking such strong medication, such as propofol, which he allegedly died of.

Michael Jackson also had significantly poor press as well, following his trials where he stood accused of child molestation. This was another financial burden, but a major concern for MJ would have been his increasingly poor representation in the media, which included his bizarre actions such as his spending and holding his baby child off a balcony.

We’ve established reasons as to why Michael Jackson might have wanted to fake his death, but how did it help? How do we know he did it? As we all witnessed, following his death, many channels of both the television and radio played and replayed his greatest hits in commemoration. As well as achieving good press once again, he raked in tonnes of cash as his royalties started to pay out. An added bonus was he didn’t have to perform the ‘This Is It’ tour. A movie, entitled ‘This Is It', was released very soon after MJ’s death, once again earning him more cash.

Other hints suggesting Michael Jackson’s death was faked include the fact that his funeral was supposed to have an open casket so people could view his body, but his family decided not to at the last moment. Was that because there was no body in there? Michael Jackson had experimented with hyperbaric chambers in the past, what’s to say he’s not experimenting with cryogenic chambers now. After all, he is a massive fan of Peter Pan, naming his estate after ‘Neverland’, the magical place in which Peter Pan stayed young forever.
